Do I serve “Jesus in Suburbia”?

Popular alternative rockers "Green Day" are set to release their new CD, "Bullet in a Bible," November 15. Meanwhile, MTV is giving heavy airplay to their video "Jesus in Suburbia" which includes these lyrics:

Everyone's so full of s--- Born and raised by hypocrites Hearts recycled but never saved From the cradle to the grave We are the kids of war and peace From Anaheim to the Middle East We are the stories and disciples of The Jesus of suburbia

Critics (and sometimes even rock stars) are the unpaid guardians of our souls, so it may be good to ask ourselves Am I a disciple of the "Jesus of suburbia" or Scripture?
