Everyone's a-talking about William Wilberforce this week--and rightly so, since 200 years ago today he helped bring about the end of the British slave trade after a long, hard fight against a moral evil that was deeply entrenched into England's economy. Over at the Evangelical Outpost, Joe Carter has a great overview (with links) of Wilberforce's life and accomplishments. To his list of links I would add an article from the Christian History Institute summarizing the "Wilberforce model for effecting change in a society"--something of obvious relevance to Christians today. (And I hear there's a movie about the fellow hitting theaters as we speak.)
