Have a ‘simple’ Christmas

Pope Benedict XVI told Vatican City pilgrims that he hopes the worldwide economic crisis helps people rediscover "the warmth, simplicity, friendship and solidarity" of the "spiritual meaning of Christmas."

My only change is that I will be working on Christmas Eve till 7PM and most likely Christmas day at 7 PM. I have had to get a third job to support my family. My tradition of taking kids to communion service at church will not be able to be done.
We usually go dinner at a very good restautant on Chrismas Eve. We are still thinking of doing that but we find the price is extremely expensive ... and now we are thinking twice ...
For years I thought that work was what was needed to support my family; how wrong I was. Now that they are gone I don't see them as much as I would like, but hope to see them more. Take the time to be with the ones you love. Ask God to help and he will move mountains to see that it is done. In my book it relates to the love of God for us all. I write about how it fells to be with family and to feel welcome in a place where miracles do happen. Place yourself in the hands of God, just where He wanted us to be in the first place. If you have to work then take what time you have and give it to your family. It doesn't matter to them if it's the same time as everybody else. It's your time to be with God and your family. There is more to give than "gifts". What a wonderful gift it is to receive a hug or a kiss from a loved one. Today's economic crisis, teaches me that it has always been about relationships. First to God and then to mankind.

christmas is a great time to have together to remember what is is all about. Time at home on Christmas eve to reflect on the true meaning and having a simple meal. remember all those people that do not have a meal, a bed to sleep on, no one to love them. my thoughts go out at this time to all of those who have nothing. god gives us so much so please share some with someone who has nothing and stay home on christmas eve, believe me you will get so much more out of the simple life.

A simple christmas for me is waking up with my life health and strenght getting hug and kiss and knowing that everyone is ok and doing well MERRYCHRISTMAS TO ALL.
