Lifehack.org has a nice post challenging readers to make a commitment to attend church weekly, and listing out some practical ideas to help you make it to church each week.
It's good advice, and I can personally attest that at least some of those tips work. I've gone through patches in my life where my church attendance was worse than it should've been--and I've also found that once your church attendance starts to flag, it becomes harder and harder to motivate yourself to get up on Sunday morning in time for the service. But as the Lifehack post notes, once you get into the habit of attending regularly, it becomes easier to do so, as you develop relationships with other churchgoers and start getting involved in activities. (Singing in my church's small choir has done wonders for my attendance--even if I'm just not in the mood to get up on Sunday morning, knowing that my attendance will be missed by the choir gives me some extra motivation.)
What about you? Do you attend church every week? Was it a struggle to commit to weekly attendance? What do you do to keep yourself honest when your spirit was willing but your body was weak?
