With the redesign we decided to start using a new commenting system called Disqus. You'll now have the option of creating an account with Disqus which should help facilitate conversations on ThinkChristian. Keep in mind, you're still more than welcome to post without registering if you so choose.

Account creation is extremely painless (seriously, I've never encountered an easier form). You might have to sign-in the first time you comment on TC with your login. One of the nice features of Disqus is the ability to see all comments you've made in one place via the Disqus Profile page. You can also set your Disqus profile to email you when someone else has commented on a post that you've also commented on. No more checking back every hour to see if someone's replied!

If you choose to create an account, you'll also have the ability to rate comments up or down. We're going to try this for a few weeks to gauge whether or not it's helpful.

From my perspective, the greatest feature of Disqus is the ability to reply directly to comments. This should allow for a better flow to the conversation, and hopefully lend itself to deeper discussions.

The system has been a bit shaky today, so please, by all means, let us know either through the comments or email if you're having problems. Also, we'd appreciate general feedback. You can send it to the same place.
