Survey Breakdown, Part II
One of the more provocative questions we asked on our recent survey was this one:How has Think Christian helped shape your world view?Just so we're on the same page, here's how Wikipedia.org defines a wordview: "It [the worldview] refers to the framework through which an individual interprets the world and interacts in it."
One survey respondent said "Wow! That's a presumptuous question, isn't it?" This echoed several comments; it seems many people consider their worldview "finished," so to speak. One respondent even suggested that "Seminary grads have their worldviews mostly shaped."
These answers raised an interesting question for me: can a worldview ever be "finished?" To me, this is like suggesting that I'm not longer being shaped by God, my family, my fellow believers or my personal experience. That, at some point, I'm "done" as a human being. That I've arrived. That the process of sanctification is complete.
But maybe I'm reading too much into these comments, or misinterpreting them. What do you think? Can a worldview be "finished?"
