Was it discrimination?

All kinds of ugliness swirling around a recent incident in Houston. In summary a local landscaping company (owned by a conservative Christian) declined to bid on a job for a gay couple. Avalances of email and ugly responses later, the company is reeling from the attention they've received.

My thoughts? While the owner has every right to decide who to do business with, I think that in light of the troublesome "be the light of the world" command, running from certain types of sinners is unwise. The owner passed up the opportunity to bring light into the gay couple's world, not only with his attitude, but with an exceptional job done as unto the Lord.

And what about all the ugliness that resulted? Well, how do you expect nonbelivers to act? Yes, their own intolerance and hatred makes them as bad as the owners...
