Where have all the comments gone?

That's a fair question considering TC is all about the conversation in the comments section.

We ran in to some unexpected issues with upgrades to WordPress and Disqus this week. We're working on fixing the problem and we appreciate your patience.

(Thursday morning update:  The comments are back, even though it says "0 comments" under each post.  For now, if you click on the "0 comments" link it will take you to the list of comments for the post.  We're still working to get eveything back to normal.)

(via SiarlysJenkins) Ummm, just to be sure… does this mean you’re getting all the comments back up soon? It would be a real bummer to have to think them all up again, and post them all again, especially for all of us who had conversations to get them in the right order again…

...plus, I see this “Open ID” where before we had a “Discus Log in.” Is there an Operator’s Manual for the new system?
Disqus was taken offline for awhile last night. The "Open ID" login is the default for WordPress. While we are considering changing commenting systems, for now we intended to stick with Disqus. So for the handful of comments left last night, I'll have to put them in manually.

Sorry for all of the confusion. Isn't technology great?
