Love it!
Reminds me of a Greek friend of mine who said his church ( orthodox) sent out a bill each year for his families 'tithes' which was based on how many kids he had attending church !
That is a rather disheartening cartoon.
I believe the intention of the cartoon is to make people laugh. I laughed. Now, are there true stories of similar caliber? I've heard a few. But those make me sad.
Nope, I just give in cash so my left hand (the church secretary) doesn't know what the right hand (my budget) is doing.
I wonder what the Gustavsons will fill in their prayer request form :)
Honestly, i can't find a single thing funny about this cartoon because it's actually true. People lose their jobs daily even our most faithful and loyal members of our churches because just like our lives aren't promised to us, our jobs aren't, as well as our place of living. Therefore, there does come times when we can't pay or tithes but because we really want to God knows what kind of heart we have, so he understands and continues to bless us.
