Advent and lament

As terrible news stories unfold over Advent, what if Christians focused first on lament, rather than berating our political or theological foes?

For many the holiday season is not the "most wonderful time of the year" so it is a blessing to see a thoughtful response to the pain in our world. In being still and acknowledging who our God is, our fears will diminish. If only we were quicker to grieve and lament instead of pointing fingers and casting blame. Thanks for the thoughtful challenge to pause and grieve those things that grieve our God. Come Lord Jesus!
