Alan, As someone who spent over 20 years in banking dealing with the intricacies of Fair Housing Law amd the Community Reinvestment Act, I must respectfully disagree:

“ It has nothing to do with race or ethnicity.”

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Study the history of “redlining” and the way the government created what are often referred to as the “hood” or the “ghetto” in the first place. The government made it so that if you weren’t white, it was hard to borrow money outside of those areas - at least when it comes to mortgages.

The root of the problem is systemic structures that keep people of color in the areas the rich white bankers and the govt officials they elected originally wanted to put the POC in.
