Watching Christine McVie rejoin Fleetwood Mac in concert reminded me that our loving God continuously summons us out of our pretend paradises.

As a woman in the midst of several major life changes, Amanda's words are a balm to my anxious soul. Through teary eyes, I am blessed.

Change is by far one of the harder things in life to adapt to. I think the song puts it eloquently and I like the reminder that the changes we undergo are usually to make us closer to God. Great reminder to embrace change and not hide from it. Awesome Read!

I was listening to Fleetwood Mac in the 70s and saw them in concert at the Cow Palace a little over 30 years ago. The music has stood up very well over the decades. Have I changed? Happily, yes. Does God change? Happily not!

Change is inevitable yet it is the hardest thing to adapt to in life. As a person who is experiencing a lot of change currently, this resonates with me and helps me focus on learning to bend with the changes so I can come out stronger. Well written. Well thought through!

"Our fears become our refuge"...So wise and true, my friend, so wise and true.

Karen, it makes my heart glad that you felt comforted. That's always a humbling thing to hear.

Morgan, it's amazing that Nicks wrote something with fairly simple wording but with such emotion while doing it that so many years later we can embrace it as our own...or at least sing it really well in the shower. I appreciate your commenting!

Diane, yes, change is tough, even when it's "good." I am praying that you come through it stronger but even more reliant on God's strength than ever.

Very nostalgic for me and beautifully written! Thank you! After retiring as a Flt. Att. in 2005, (I flew for 33 yrs.) I thought I had it made! But, though it served many good purposes for me, it also did some damage. Now I am 64 yrs old, and I just returned to work this past month! I am a companion/ caregiver to the elderly... a job tailor-made by God for me! I was terrified of finding a (financially-necessary) job, but the Lord steered me to the right occupation. Change has always been hard for me, but I find it true that God will move us if He finds we're not thriving where we're at. I believe I will be thriving again, and I know I am drawing closer to Him everyday! Thank you for sharing your heart!

Thank you for sharing, too, OldFlyGirl. It's wonderful that you stepped out. And, yes, it isn't just about finding a place of thriving; it's also about trusting God. Take care and best with your new path.
