Avatar and Heavenly Bodies

The sci-fi blockbuster juxtaposes human frailty with hope for the life to come.

As creative and technologically advanced as we are (and we'll get), we can never reach that "joy" of being in a glorified body. All of these "devices" which man has used to hide only show the realization that deep inside, we are meant for a body that does not corrupt, that does not die and we are trying to create it here on earth. So, yes, I'm in agreement that as "new age" as Avatar was, the snippets of comparisons we see to our upcoming regeneration is evident. Nothing brings this home more than when I'm sick. When sick, I am reminded how fragile our human bodies are. I also want to be transformed into my heavenly, glorified body. What joy must/will that be.
