Narnia movies nearly a trilogy: will they make it to seven?

I love the Narnia series (I love almost all of C.S. Lewis's fiction) and I'll see all of the movies. But do the politically correct, dumbing down alterations bother anyone else? Don't get me wrong. The movies are beautiful, the acting isn't bad, and it's great to see them in person.

But no one seems to be bothered by some of the massive changes in plot that really dumb down the story - the wolf chase scene in Wardrobe, and the sentiment that hope in the children, not Aslan, revives Narnia, the constant whining about needing to leave. In Caspian, the angst about the children leaving the country, the silly added castle attack scene. And in the trailer for Dawn Treader, I saw the quote that "the fate of Narnia depends on...", when really, they went adventuring for honor's sake alone.

There seems to me that crucial elements of the stories - honor, duty, and loyalty to Aslan - are being completely dimmed or left out entirely, and the whole flavor of the series is changed.

I'd love to see The Silver Chair and the Last Battle......A Horse and His Boy....not so much.......

Really wish they could've started with The Magician's Nephew --

I loved the BBC narnia movies. My husband loved them so much he refuses to rent the new versions. I'll admit, I think Tom Baker is the best possible puddleglum and I'm not interested in another.
I also wonder if all the books post-wardrobe will always have less cultural cache because the allegory is less obvious (or in the case of the Last Battle, more controversial).

I would love to see them do all the movies. I've seen the BBC ones too and owned them on video. Yes, Tom Baker was a terrific Puddleglum.

No Eustace in the trailer? Some of the themes of the book will rub against market interests. I'd love to see them keep it up at least through the Magician's Nephew which I think would make a terrific movie and the Last Battle.

The trailer is enough to see that the plot has been badly distorted, just as the plot for Prince Caspian was. Lewis's story line was a subtle one, with a careful weave of moral lessons, adventure, charm, and a good tale, which the first movie barely hung onto and the next two lost in an attempt to adapt the script. I'll probably watch it, but it won't be a captivating thrill, and probably won't do so well at the box office either. I must check out the BBC series. I don't find much in the dumbing down politically correct. It simply makes up unnecessary diversions, while leaving out the heart of the story.

I would love to have them all on dvd.

I really want to see the Last Battle. And the Silver Chair was good too!

Yes these Narnia movies provide and create imaginations for kids and adults. Each of the three has provided a magical place for my husband, my kids and myself to go to and pretend as though we are the kings and queens of Narnia. PLEASE make all 7, these are fabulous movies and provide good christian morals for all.

Keep them coming a GREAT family movie. Will not mis one movie. Take care and God Bless
