Zack Snyder’s Justice League, taking a page from the New Testament, champions diversity within unity.

A very interesting way of looking at things. One thing in Zack Snyder's film Batman v Superman but I thought a lot of people missed was in the "Save Martha" scene. I thought it was very interesting that it seems to parallel Jesus on the cross, telling John to protect his mother. Snyder seems to at least understand the connection from Biblical characters to superheroes. Anyway, great job!

Hi Clint! Ah thanks so much for reading; I didn't think about that connection! It definitely reframes that scene for me now (read: even if still meme-worthy, at least it has depth). I have appreciated Snyder's approach to superheroes in this light; I like that idea of superheroes as beings who feel as though their powers are a curse and source of alienation and yet they still choose to serve communities they feel ostracized from.
