"As we watch foreign faces that don’t inhabit our towns stream by on the screen, we are getting a glimpse of heaven."

So true, Monica. The world is fallen and yet still awsome because it is our awesome God's creation. One day we'll get more than a glimpse; we'll see and experience all things made new, including our own outstanding physical abilities as God meant them to be experienced.

P.S. Track and field made its way into a guest post I wrote that your fellow Redbud Jenny Rae Armstrong just put up at her place. Hope you get a chance to take a look: http://www.jennyraearmstrong.com/2012/08/13/running-with-castles-and-bishops-would-you-sacrifice-your-standards-for-worldly-gain/

Amen I agree, watching the Olympics can be a spiritual experience. The roar of the crowd as the athletes win gold makes me think of how exciting it will be at the Closing and Reward Ceremonies in the sky, when we receive our gold crowns. At the closing of the most enormous and longest competition the world has ever seen. http://www.amazon.com/Christian-Olympics-Going-Gold-Crowns-ebook/dp/B007VVTSTU/
