The Jungle Book, like the Book of Genesis, offers a vision for how humanity should relate to nature.

Josh, looking forward to seeing this and appreciate your good thoughts on the movie. A favorite version of ours was a live action (Disney) that isn't available anymore (affordably, anyway). The animals didn't "talk" in it, but it would be interesting to compare the two. I also haven't read Kipling's Mowgli stories and wonder how those compare to the film adaptations.

Thanks Amanda. I believe that other Disney version was with Jason Scott Lee and Cary Elwes. Don't think I ever saw it...
