We all desire justice. Does The Punisher's brutal Frank Castle provide it?

Sorry; you completely lost me in the last paragraph. The version of justice you describe is merely vengeance. The justice humans most deeply seek is not vengeance, but the restoration of relationship while maintaining a sense of the order of the world. If relationships are destroyed, or the law is seen as an enemy of human affairs, then there can be no sense of justice.

The intent of the article is to draw a distinction between worldly justice (typically just vengeance) and restorative justice following the example of Christ. The "dissonance" I'm referring to isn't that justice can't be pursued at all, but merely that often human forms of justice, as evinced in The Punisher, don't reflect Christ's example of justice. In a nutshell, you're hitting the nail on what I'm aiming to conclude!
