The new Mister Rogers documentary offers a challenge for our contentious times, a challenge rooted directly in the gospel.

What a marvellous, concise appetizer for what I've read that some call an Oscar candidate. Considering Mr. Rogers' own low-key, yet profoundly intense personality and commitment to goodness, I not at all sure that would be a fitting cachet either for the movie or the man. On the other hand, it might elevate the Academy Awards moral plateau in a way so badly needed in the ever meaner ambience of broadcast and political discourse not only the in US, but in too many parts of God's world. Thank you so very much. GOTTA find this film now before it disappears in the fog of cinematic fluff and violence.
