On his first solo album in 14 years, David Byrne’s spiritual quest involves a more forward-looking set of queries.
Well written. I felt some Christian yearning in American Utopia. That’s what brought me to this review. His constantly open mind I thought appears to be coming to grips with the merging of existential absurdity and the Holy Spirit, for lack of a better moniker. It’s challenging for the cynical to believe and I’ve seen glimmers from my generation of acceptance. It bodes well for the post Trump renaissance. Thanks. Insightful criticism.
