Farewell from Think Christian

I’m afraid I have some sad news to share. Due to a significant budget shortfall, ReFrame Ministries has decided to end the Think Christian program, along with my position at the organization.

We’ve had a good run, expanding in my time from a web magazine to include a podcast, multiple social media channels, and regular video content. Not to mention the Movie Club, various ebooks, and other projects along the way. But the reality is that it takes resources — beyond blood, sweat, and time — to create such offerings and we no longer have the funding to do so.

We did have the readers, the listeners, and the viewers, however. And for that I thank you. That’s the lifeblood of any media endeavor. If you were also able to financially contribute to TC at any point, I thank you. If there are other media outlets whose work you currently appreciate, please consider offering financial support, however you can. It makes a difference, especially in this new media environment.

We’ll be suspending TC production immediately, although the current website, podcasts, and videos will remain available for the time being. (Including our latest podcast episode covering — I kid you not — Apple TV’s Severance.) I’ll be moving on, but I’m ready. I’ve always known this was something of a miracle job. I’m grateful for the time I was given to learn, alongside others, how to connect our pop culture fandom and our faith. I’ve needed this place just as much as you.
