Excellent article that uses a genre not usually critiqued for extrinsic truth. Very interesting the comparison of the audience and their viewpoint today verses past excerpts of the film. Well done.

I don’t think it was necessarily the scarf that saved her, but the father of the other girl yelling out “I choose you”. Like the demon said, “God played a trick on you” for killing his wife, who he chose, over his unborn daughter. Just like that, the demon killed the one that was “chosen” and then released the main daughter.
