In season two of the HBO series, violent delights have violent ends.

In recent years I have come to realize that total depravity doesn't make sense in the world as I know it and neither is it Biblical. "Very good!" God said of all creation including us, I have not seen a compelling argument to tell me that ever changed. Our primordial goodness is still our nature, sin is not.

Thanks for your comments, rusty. I agree that the world was created and it was good. I respectively disagree that the concept of total depravity doesn't have Biblical basis. I see it as an implicit manifestation of the Fall (Gen. 3:6). For me, additional scriptural support for this strain of Reformed theology can be found multiple places (Matthew 7:17, Psalm 51:5, Isaiah 64:6). In terms of my personality, Romans 7:18 in particular hits me where I live.
