What can the Incarnation offer to those who feel possessed by mental illness?

An excellent article that you have shared. I think that this is a relevant topic for discussion.
So, questions that this article raises for me are these: a) How does a Christian embrace a more scientific understanding while eschewing science in any other dimension of his/her life?

I haven't seen the movie but I was born into alot of mental illness and alcoholism. I didn't think demons were real. I have been praying for so many years. I saw white light etc...I nearly died and saw my mother's eyes turn black. I come from a family of narcissists and psychopaths. I have been on a spiritual path for over 35 years. My life has been like a horror story. I have seen and heard voices that are actually demons speaking through people and I feel energy in places now. Jesus kept me alive for a reason. I have come close to death so many times. I consider myself a lightworker now.

My relationship with god has been strained in the past and present. But I think this type of writing is important for bringing people back to the church. I do love film and have a little bias against Christians how refuse to engage with media that can be difficult. I think you are a great writer and gave me a lot to think about from this film. I was exposed to Merton through a film called First Reformed. If you haven’t discussed that, it would be interesting.
