TC Movie Club: O Brother, Where Art Thou?

O Brother, Where Art Thou? is the second movie we’re considering as part of our TC Movie Club series on the films of Joel and Ethan Coen. Throughout the series, we’re placing a handful of their movies within an Old Testament/New Testament framework. Does O Brother represent the demands of the Mosaic law and the price paid for failing to keep it? Or does it demonstrate the way God continually, almost comically, offers to wash our sins away?
