Thanks very much for this fine review. Before I read it, I really didn't want to see the movie; now I do. Your sensitive insights don't varnish anything about Ms. Harding, but do show her agony and suffering in stark relief, a backdrop of the Grace that she surely needed then and perhaps by now has found. This is very good "sports commentary" with depth and layers not often seen.

I'm ashamed to say I joined those who scorned Tanya Harding during the debacle with Nancy Kerrigan. This article reminds me to be slow to judge, quick to learn the back story, and to let my thoughts be filled with the grace for others that I long for myself.
